How To Control The Dealer If The Game Is Too Fast – Part 2

How To Control The Dealer If The Game Is Too Fast – Part 2

OK, so you tried asking the dealer to deal a little more slowly and he/she either honored your request, at least temporarily, or did not, and either way, you are struggling to come up with your next bet before the cards are dealt for the next decision at the baccarat or blackjack table.

Is there anything else you can or should do? Yes, there are several plan “B’s.”

The second thing to do is to give the dealer a TIP based on the table limit of your table.

For a $10-$25 minimum bet table, $5-$10 is good.

For a $50 up minimum, $15-$25 will get their attention.

Give them the toke by placing it on the table and sliding towards them and say something like…”I could use a little extra time between decisions…”

Before doing that, I suggest that you wait right up till the last second before the dealer pulls out the first card for the next hand and put up your finger and say…”one last bet…” Quickly place a small $1-$5 chip (based on table limit again) just to the LEFT of your bet.

The dealer will know that is for him/her and will win twice as much if your bet wins.

More importantly, they will be more likely to wait to see if you want to make another bet in each upcoming round.

I can hear some of you saying that $5-$25 is a lot to spend in the hope of controlling the game speed.

Believe me, if you have a winning system, that is a very small insurance price to pay for not missing one of your winning bets.

The last recommendation is what I call the “Nuclear Option.”

If you need a little more time to figure out your next bet and the dealer is in the process of calling for “No More Bets…” take the chips you going to bet and hold them over the closest (Player if betting baccarat) “betting circle” and just let them hover there…do not move your hand and DO NOT put them down.

The dealer will NOT be able to deal the cards if someone – like you – has not actually placed their chips on the table and taken their hand away. WHY?

Well, think about it. If the dealer goes ahead and deals the cards and your “almost” bet wins, you will drop the chips the last inch for an easy win.

If your “almost” bet loses, you can successfully (in most cases) argue that you had not really made that bet because it was not on the table with your hand removed.

Yes, this is a little bit of a casino gray area guerilla warfare tactic but, hey, this is real money we’re talking about – YOUR money and you need to take your play seriously.
My baccarat students are trained to treat their play as a serious business activity, not a recreational pastime.

Again, we are not there to make friends or have a good time although anytime you win, you will have a good time.

You should be there with the intention of leaving with more money than you brought with you.

To Larger Unit Chips,
Dr. Tom
